Abstract

The subset is based on version 2.3 of the reference dataset, accessed via LynkerSpatial. The subsetting algorithm follows the approach used in the Community Hydrofabric subset workflow, where upstream catchments are traced using the id and to_id relationships in the network table to generate a subset for a defined outlet catchment.

In this case, the outlet catchment identified on the website (which is based on version 2.2 of the dataset) corresponds to cat-2859589. However, because our DVC workflow is built using version 2.3, the corresponding divide_id for this outlet catchment is 4608830.

For reference, the resource also includes the Bear River Watershed boundary derived from the WBD dataset, corresponding to HUC1601. Note that the subsetted reference hydrofabric differs from the WBD boundary in some areas because regions classified as CanalDitch are excluded from the reference dataset.
