Abstract

The dataset presented in this study comprises a comprehensive set of field and laboratory measurements collected from the Tongshun River corridor between 2015 and 2017. It includes seasonal hydrological parameters, geochemical properties of surface water and porewater, sediment characteristics, and microbial functional gene abundances. Specifically, hydrological data capture surface water-groundwater exchange dynamics, while geochemical data include concentrations of nitrogen species (e.g., nitrate, ammonium), carbon content, chloride, and pH, alongside isotopic tracers used to identify nitrate sources. Sediment properties such as depth, moisture content, and organic carbon composition are also provided. Microbial data consist of abundances of functional genes involved in nitrogen cycling, including those associated with denitrification, dissimilatory nitrate reduction to ammonium (DNRA), nitrification, and anammox. These data are organized to support analyses of seasonal and spatial variations in biogeochemical processes and microbial community structure, offering a robust foundation for understanding coupled hydrological-biogeochemical interactions in river corridors.
