Abstract
Case study burn severity and fire progression maps for beaver wetlands in wildfire event outlining that not all beaver wetlands will influence fire behavior in the same way. The following case studies are of recent wildfire events documenting the impact beaver systems have in breaking wildfire spread and creating wildfire refugia. Collaboration with Michelle Andruss, Emily Fairfax and the Fairfax Beaver Lab at the University of Minnesota and Amy McNamara at the Natural Resource Defense Council.
