Abstract

Weather Station instrumentation located on Allerton Trust Farm West of Monticello IL. This site is a UIUC-owned farm with two subsurface drainage tiles. As of 2015, we are monitoring one of these tiles for discharge and various parameters. The site has a Campbell CR1000 monitoring a tipping bucket rain gauge, anemometer, transducers for measuring water level, temperature and specific conductance of the tile effluent water, and is used to direct sampling of tile effluent from an ISCO sampler. The site also has a Decagon data logger for monitoring air temperature and probes that monitor soil moisture, temperature and specific conductance. These files are uploaded automatically every hour from the CINet LoggerNet server.

Soil data is from MeterGroup EM60 Datalogger; data accessed and downloaded remotely via ZentraCloud Software. Data is reported every 5-min. Measurements: Water Content = 5TE Soil Sensor; Saturation Extract EC = 5TE Soil Sensor; Soil Temperature = 5TE Soil Sensor. Depths: 5cm, 20cm, 60cm.
