Abstract
Continuous groundwater water quality was collected in the shallow (25 m) and deep well (39 m) at Johnston Draw, a sub-watershed of the Reynolds Creek Critical Zone Observatory, Idaho. The groundwater well was installed in August 2020 as part of the Reynolds Creek Critical Zone Observatory and then instrumented with a continuous YSI sonde in 2023 as part of an internal seed grant from Idaho State University. Casing depth of wells is 25 m (shallow) and 39 m (deep). A separate YSI EXO1 Multiparameter Sonde was deployed on September 15th, 2023 within the two nested groundwater wells to measure 16 parameters: Conductivity (µS/cm), Specific Conductivity (µS/cm), Non-linear Function Conductivity, Water Temperature (°C), Depth of Water Column Above Sensor (m), Fluorescent Dissolved Organic Matter (QSUs), Fluorescent Dissolved Organic Matter (RFU), Oxidation-Reduction Potential (mV), Absolute Pressure (PSI), Salinity (PSU), Total Dissolved Solids (mg/L), pH (units), pH (mV), Position of the Depth Sensor in the Water Column, Battery Power (V), Power in Cable (V). The sonde in the shallow groundwater well is suspended at 19 meters and the sonde in the deep is suspended at 33 meters. Data was collected every hour.
