Abstract
This notebook provides a comprehensive time series visualization of water temperature data gathered from the Utah Water Laboratory monitoring site. To ensure the accuracy and reliability of the analysis, a series of data preprocessing steps were implemented. These steps included the removal of invalid or placeholder values (such as -9999), which could otherwise distort the analysis, and the meticulous parsing of timestamp entries to maintain precise temporal alignment throughout the dataset. By standardizing and cleaning the data in this way, the visualization accurately reflects the underlying environmental conditions. The resulting time series plot reveals distinct seasonal variations, as well as longer-term patterns and trends in water temperature over the observed period. These insights not only highlight the temporal dynamics of aquatic thermal behavior but also provide a valuable foundation for further studies related to climate variability, stream health, and water resource management in the region.
