Abstract
This resource provides information on the hydrologic data products offered by the National Ecological Observatory Network (NEON) at the Steigerwaldt-Chequamegon (D05-STEI, Lincoln County, WI, USA) site. Users can find details on all hydrologic data products published from observational, instrumented, or remote sensing methods across air, land, and water. No NEON data are stored in this resource, but users can use direct links and code resources to be quickly directed to data products of interest.
For more information on the site, please visit: https://www.neonscience.org/field-sites/STEI
The subject keywords for this resource identify the hydrologic data products published from this site. Each of these data products is available for download, for free, from the NEON Data Portal (https://data.neonscience.org/data-products/explore)
The content of this resource contains the NEON data product catalog, in JSON and CSV format, subset to contain only the hydrologic data products published at this site. The README.md file in the content points users to helper scripts in R and Python that allow users to read the JSON file into a programming environment and explore and download the available NEON data products.
If you have questions about this resource or would like to chat with a NEON scientist about one or more of these data products, please follow this link to get in contact with us: https://www.neonscience.org/about/contact-us

Content of NEON Site Hydrology resources in HydroShare
.json file - NEON data product catalog queried from the NEON API for this site and subset to all data products that fit the NEON data theme of 'Ecohydrology'. This machine readable file can be read directly into the R and Python helper scripts (see next section) to explore the NEON hydrologic data products available at this site.
.csv file - For a quicker and more user-friendly view of the available hydrologic data products available for this site, the JSON file was parsed into a data frame and made available in this resource as a CSV. Users can peruse the available data products in tabular form.
Access R & Python Helper Scripts to Explore NEON Hydrology Data Products
There are helper scripts coded in both R and Python that allow users to better interpret and explore the JSON file included in this resource. All a user needs is the ID for this HydroShare resource, and each script will read the JSON file directly into one's programming environment using HydroShare's hscleint. To access the helper scripts, visit the NEON-HydroShare-resources GitHub respository. Users can clone the repository locally or download the invididual scripts to start exploring data products.
