Abstract
This dataset includes PCR data for 7 antibiotic resistance genes (ARGs) - ampC, mecA, ermA, aacA, tetA, tetW, blaTEM, and a gene for mobile genetic element (MGE) - int1. There are 14 total sites covered, all located within the Yucatán Peninsula, from various water sources (sinkholes, wells, taps, etc.). Additionally, E. Coli and Fecal Coliform data is included for the sites tested for ARGs, and Enterococcus data for the saltwater sites (BC, SP).
