Abstract

This resource contains detailed information about the basin characteristics and streamflow statistics for the USGS Stream Gage Fenton River at Mansfield, Connecticut (Station ID: 01121330). These data, including streamflow from 2010 to 2025, have been obtained from the USGS StreamStats web application on June 11, 2025. This resource was created during the demo session of the National Water Center Summer Institute Program and the goal was to access data, share it on HydroShare and describe it.

This resource was developed as part of a training exercise during the 2025 Water Innovator Summer Institute. It compiles Fenton River hydrological data from the USGS database (2010-2025), including:

Annual peak streamflow records
NWIS mean daily streamflow measurements
NWIS rating curve data

Data Services

The following web services are available for data contained in this resource. Geospatial Feature and Raster data are made available via Open Geospatial Consortium Web Services. The provided links can be copied and pasted into GIS software to access these data. Multidimensional NetCDF data are made available via a THREDDS Data Server using remote data access protocols such as OPeNDAP. Other data services may be made available in the future to support additional data types.
