Abstract

This resource contains an Excel file that includes field discharge measurements made on the Noatak River, Alaska in September 2025 and June 2026. These measurements were used as validation data for a test of Confluence output using SWOT to estimate river discharge. The Confluence output is also included in the Excel file and is the result of a new method using a modified Manning's equation fit to field discharge measurements. The measurements used for the calibration are included in the Excel file and also contained in a separate Resource as part of the CORRIDORS collection on HydroShare. Confluence output includes an unconstrained output, constrained output, and constrained output that incorporates the CORRIDORS measurements for calibration.
