Iowa Flood Center Bridge Sensor - Rating Curves

This Hydroshare resource contains river stage - discharge relationship for 290 locations where Bridge Mounted River Stage Sensors (BMRS) are installed by the Iowa Flood Center. The units of the river stage data is feet above sea level. The units of discharge is cubic feet per second.

ifcbs_rating_curves files have 4 columns ID: indicates the identification number of each BMRSS Stage: Indicates the river stage in feet above sea level Discharge: Indicates the discharge value corresponding to each river stage in cbic feet per second Version: Number of the version of the rating curve

ifc_bs_ID_list.csv

Metadata for each BMRSS site. Contains the site_id, spatial location and name of each BMRSS. The file has 4 columns: ID: indicates the identification number of each BMRSS Longitude: Indicates the longitude in which the BMRSS is located Latitude: Indicates the latitude in which the BMRSS is located Description: Name and Location of the BMRSS

ifc_bs.shp

A shape file with the location of each BMRSS

Data Services

The following web services are available for data contained in this resource. Geospatial Feature and Raster data are made available via Open Geospatial Consortium Web Services. The provided links can be copied and pasted into GIS software to access these data. Multidimensional NetCDF data are made available via a THREDDS Data Server using remote data access protocols such as OPeNDAP. Other data services may be made available in the future to support additional data types.
