Abstract

This repository contains ground-penetrating radar (GPR), in situ soil-moisture sensor, water drop penetration time (WDPT), and sedimentation test data collected from unburned and burned soils. GPR and in-situ sensor measurements were collected throughout saturation to dry-down. Three soil types were investigated:
• Mineral Control (MC): Commercially sourced Sand.
• Basin Muck (BM): Soil sourced from Florida.
• Upland Duff (UD): Soil sourced from Utah.
All three soils were tested before and after controlled oven burning. The Utah soil was additionally tested after wildfire burning. Hence, the experimental matrix had seven phases (test conditions):
1. MC Pre-Burn,
2. MC Post-Oven-Burn,
3. BM Pre-Burn,
4. BM Post-Oven-Burn,
5. UD Pre-Burn,
6. UD Post-Oven-Burn, and
7. UD Post-Fire-Burn.
